Recharge
Recharge
NCAD Final Major Project
Recharge is a buddy application to help users manage and maintain their ‘Social Battery’.
Recharge is an AR buddy application to help users manage and maintain their ‘Social Battery’. The term ‘Social Battery’ describes the amount of energy a person has for socialising. Recharge helps users understand how they react through social interactions through the AR Smart Glasses, a ring to control the glasses with health tracking and the APP.
What is a ‘Social Battery’?
The term ‘Social Battery’ describes the amount of energy a person has for socialising. Some people love and excel in social situations and interactions, while some get very anxious and don’t have the power for long periods of social interaction.
AR Glasses Application
The AR Glasses, With the help of after effects and Figma, I was able to show what users will see through the glasses. With this prototype, I was able to play with the opacity and colours of the features trying to create a similar feel to Smartglasses or AR Glasses. Using green as the colour will show a little more clearly than blues. I also tried to have the battery design pop out more and make it different to the usual battery design.
AR Flow
Digital Wearable - Ring
The Ring measures Heart Rate, Body temperature, and Sleep and allows you to control the glasses. The Ring was inspired by Focals by north Smart glasses, as they used a ring for their control. However, it’s a lot more subtle, and it mirrors anxiety rings that many can fidget between their fingers.
The APP
With Recharge’s APP, you’ll be able to track and record your heart rate, body temperature, and sleep times to track your health. You’ll also be able to explore more about Self-care and how Self-care is essential for you and your social battery.
Self-care in the app allows users to read more about self-care and its importance and get ideas for different ways to get self-care. The page also provides sounds and breathing exercises that enable users to follow breathing exercises with the app.
